Cameron works as a Master Control Operator, Production Assistant, and Digital Multimedia Journalist at NewsCenter1. This is his first job in the broadcasting industry.
Cameron was born in Ohio and lived between Akron and Cleveland for 13 years before moving to Orlando, Florida. Cameron received a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Technology with a minor in Japanese at Clemson University, where he worked for the school’s theater, the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. While there, he assisted in the setup and teardown of different shows that came through to perform at the theater, including the Broadway show Kinky Boots and the popular jazz band Snarky Puppy. Cameron also spent his time rigging lighting fixtures, focusing lights on stage, and running the audio board for different on-campus shows.
As a part of his undergraduate program, he interned at a news station in Orlando where he was exposed to the broadcasting industry and learned about different aspects of broadcast engineering.
Cameron’s hobbies include playing volleyball, learning the bass guitar, eating Japanese food, and listening to his favorite band Twenty One Pilots.
