‘Big Logz’ is life-size, fun building logs for kids

BELL FOURCHE, S.D. –Chad and Jessica Carr just started their ‘Big Logz’ business two years ago, but now they have sold almost 1,000 sets of their human-size logs.

The durable and lightweight logs are made for kids to explore building with their imagination while also getting them outdoors.

“Kids spend too much time playing video games and on the computer,” said owner, Chad Carr. “This is just teaching them a skill and team building. It’s just stuff like that, where they can get out, exercise, and move.”

Carrs’ pride themselves on building a toy that is Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) based. It is also a toy built, by hand, right in the U.S.A. Specifically, in their Belle Fourche warehouse.

The company offers different sets of logs that children can either build to likeness or create something new. The company has expanded their sales to online market places like Amazon and Etsy. They also have more information available on their website.
