Basketball Roundup: Timmer scores 31 points to lead STM over Belle Fourche

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The top two teams in Region 8A squared off on Monday in girls basketball.

The Belle Fourche Broncs hosted the top-ranked St. Thomas More Cavaliers.

Both teams entered the contest with identical records of 5-0.

The Cavaliers pulled away in the second quarter and went onto win, 61-34.

Haleigh Timmer led STM with 31 points.

The Cavaliers will travel to eastern South Dakota on Jan. 8 to play Sioux Falls Washington.

Meanwhile, Belle Fourche will host Chadron, NE on Friday, Jan. 8.
