BASKETBALL: Lakota Tech girls extend winning streak to seven games; Check out 12 photos, scores and highlights
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Lakota Tech rallied in the second half to beat Rapid City Christian on Monday in girls basketball, 62-56.
The Tatanka have now won seven games in a row.
Melina Shangreaux finished with a double-double for Lakota Tech, 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Comets were led by Olivia Kieffer with 27 points.
The Tatanka improve to 13-4 on the season, while the Comets fall to 15-4.
Rapid City Christian will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at home against Spearfish.
Lakota Tech returns home to take on Crow Creek on Feb. 14.
College Basketball
The Black Hills State men’s basketball team lost to No. 10 Fort Lewis on Monday, 88-78.
However, Joel Scott scored 26 points and broke the all-time BHSU scoring record.
The previous record was 2,180 points set by Kim Templeton back in 1976.
Scott now has 2,191 career points.
Meanwhile, the Lady Yellow Jackets defeated Fort Lewis, 76-61.
