Baseball Roundup: Titans defeat Billings to win Sturgis Baseball Rally
STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Titans were unstoppable in the Sturgis Baseball Rally Tournament.
The Titans defeated the Billings Expos on Sunday in the championship game, 8-7.
Billings jumped out to an early lead by scoring four runs in the first inning.
However, Sturgis battled back to tie it up at 7 apiece in the six inning.
Then the Titans scored in the bottom of the 8th to win the tournament.
Sturgis outscored its opponents, 44-17 in four games.
Sturgis improves to 16-4 on the season. The Titans will host Spearfish Post 164 on Tuesday, June 23 at 7 p.m.
