Baseball Roundup: St. Thomas More dominates Todd County
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The St. Thomas More baseball team lost to Rapid City Central back on April 6.
Since then, the Cavaliers have won eight in a row after beating Todd County on Saturday, 19-1.
St. Thomas More scored 12 runs in the first inning and added 7 runs in the second.
Andrew Smith had an outstanding day on the mound for the Cavaliers. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one.
Meanwhile, St. Thomas More tallied 11 hits on the day. Gavin Skinner, Jake Zaug, Braden Barbier, Jay Neugebauer and Andrew Smith each managed multiple hits for the Cavs.
St. Thomas More improves to 10-2 on the season. The Cavaliers will wrap up the regular season on Sunday by hosting Gregory and Lead-Deadwood starting at 3 p.m.
