Baseball Recap: Post 22 rallies to beat SF East, RC Sliders suffer first lost at Babe Ruth Regional

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  The State ‘A’ Legion Baseball Tournament continued on Saturday with the semifinals.

Harrisburg eliminated Mitchell in the first game of the day, 7-0.

The second game featured Rapid City Post 22 and Sioux Falls East.

Post 22 rallied from two runs down to tie it up at 5-5 in the 7th inning.

Then Dylon Marsh singled in the top of the ninth scoring Amarion Sailer and Post 22 defeated Sioux Falls East, 6-5.

Since Sioux Falls East suffered its first loss, there is still three teams remaining in the double – elimination tournament.

So Harrisburg will play Post 22 on Sunday at 11 a.m.

The winner of that game will then face Sioux Falls East in the winner take all championship game.

The championship game will start 30 minutes after the first game.

 

Babe Ruth Midwest Plains Regional Tournament

The Rapid City Sliders suffered their first loss Saturday at the Babe Ruth Midwest Plains Regional Tournament.

Otter Tail Central, MN defeated the Sliders, 7-3.

So the Sliders have secured a spot in the semifinals of the championship bracket on Monday after finishing pool play with a 3-1 record.

The Sliders will be the number 1 seed if Missouri beats Otter Tail Central on Sunday.

If Otter Tail Central wins on Sunday, Rapid City will be the number two seed.
