BASEBALL: Raiders snap four-game losing streak with win over Patriots
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Stevens baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday with a win over Douglas, 18-4.
The Patriots only trailed by four runs after the third inning.
But then the Raiders scored 11 runs in the top of the fourth inning to secure the win.
Kyle Driscoll pitched three and third innings for Stevens, allowing four runs on one hit, striking out two.
Carter Esser went 2-for-3 at the plate and had three RBIs for the Raiders.
Meanwhile, the Patriots were led by Noah Usera who was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Stevens is now 4-12 on the season, while Douglas falls to 1-10.
The Raiders will hit the road on Wednesday, April 28 for a doubleheader in Gillette, WY.
The Patriots will host Brandon Valley on Friday, April 30 at 7 p.m.
