BASEBALL: Post 22 sweeps Sturgis, Post 320 splits with the Outlaws

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Post 22 swept Sturgis on Wednesday in a baseball doubleheader giving the Titans their first two losses of the season.

The Hardhats won the opener 10-0, getting two hits and four RBIs from Bransen Kuehl and two hits and three RBIs from Ryan Bachman.

Dylan Richey led Post 22 on the hill. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over four and two-thirds innings, striking out 10.

In the second game, Post 22 scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and went on to beat Sturgis, 9-2.

Post 22 improves to 4-2 on the young season, while the Sturgis Titans are now 7-2 on the year.

The Hardhats will host Pierre Post 8 in a doubleheader on Friday, June 12 starting at 5 p.m.

The Titans are competing in the Jim Scull Tournament, June 11-14 at Pete Lien Field and McKeague Field.



Post 320 splits with the Outlaw Baseball Program

The Post 320 Stars wrapped up a three-game series with the Outlaw Baseball Program from Miles City, Montana.

The Stars won two-out-of-three after splitting a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Stars won the first game 6-2 and then dropped the second game 10-9 in 10 innings.

In the first game, Wyatt Hunt had two hits and an RBI to lead Post 320.

The Outlaws jumped out 8-0 lead in the second game.

But the Stars battled back to take the lead by scoring seven runs in the fifth inning.

However, the Outlaws tied it up with a run in the sixth inning and would go onto win in 10 innings, 10-9.

The Stars were led by Logan Ammerman who had three RBIs.

Garrett Grismer struck out three in four innings of work for Post 320.

Post 320 is now 2-4 on the season.

The Stars will travel to Wyoming on June 13-14 to play Casper.
