EAGLE, CO — A search is underway for a missing Colorado Sheriff’s Deputy who was last seen Tuesday.

Tayler Esslinger, 26, was last seen heading into the mountains in the Gypsum area according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

He works as a Detention Deputy for the Sheriff’s Office and also volunteers with the Gypsum Fire Protection District.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says that he was driving a 2011 Dodge pickup truck with firefighter license plates when he was last seen.

Law enforcement have not been able to locate a ping signal from Esslinger’s cell phone, CBS Denver News reports.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says that it’s received an overwhelming response from community members wanting to assist in the search, including donations of food and beverages for search crews.
