At least one dead in two-vehicle crash in Rapid City

Rapid City, S.D.- A 16-year-old girl has been killed in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Rapid City.

Car CrashPolice tell NewsCenter1 that it happened at 4 p.m. in the 2800 block of Highway 44, not far from Western Dakota Tech. They say a speeding westbound SUV rear-ended a sedan and that both vehicles left the roadway, and then entered a mobile home dealership.

Multiple people from both vehicles were rushed to Monument Health-Rapid City Hospital, where the teenaged girl died.

No names have been released. No citations or charges have been filed at this time. Motorists are asked to find an alternate route as RCPD’s Accident Reconstruction Team continues to investigate.
