Art enthusiasts bid on ‘The Goods’ at the Dahl

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Local art enthusiasts bid their hearts out on Friday to get “the goods.”

The annual Rapid City Arts Council fundraiser entitled, “The Goods,” brings together lovers of the fine arts for a night of wine, food, and music at the Dahl Arts Center. People bid on 65 works by local artists, displayed throughout the gallery.

The money raised helps to keep the Dahl Arts Center open to the public.

“We do this every year so we can help kids and elders in the community to afford to come and have art classes at the Dahl and experiences that are free,” said Rapid City Arts Council Board of Directors President Gabrielle Seeley.

Organizers say that the event brings together artists from all over the Hills, celebrating music, dance and paintings.
