UPDATE: Children taken from Rosebud carnival recovered safe
UPDATE (8:16 p.m.): All three children have been recovered safe.
ROSEBUD, S.D. — An Amber Alert was issued Thursday evening for Jace, Altine, and Marvin Dubray Jr. who were forcibly taken from a carnival in Rosebud, South Dakota.
Six-year-old Jace, 11-year-old Altine, and 12-year-old Marvin Jr. were taken by their non-custodial father, 37-year-old Marvin Dubray Sr., at approximately 10 p.m. on August 25. Another child was with the children, but managed to get away in the early morning hours of August 26.
The child reported that Dubray was under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances and threatening to harm the other three children.
Marvin Dubray, Sr. is a Native American male, six feet tall, heavy set build with brown eyes and black hair.
Jace Dubray is a Native American male, brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing neon green shorts and a Batman shirt.
Altine Dubray is a Native American female, approximately 5’3″, 100 lbs., brown eyes and brown hair, and was wearing gray shorts and a green shirt.
Marvin Dubray Jr. is a Native American male, approximately 5’3″, 138 lbs., brown eyes and brown hair, and was wearing green/gray shorts and a red hoodie.
They are believed to be traveling around south central South Dakota in a white Town and Country van with South Dakota license plates.
The children are believed to be endangered and if anyone has seen the children, suspect, or vehicle to please call 605-856-2282 immediately.
