Airmen volunteer at Summer Nights every Thursday

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Summer Nights has become a tradition in Rapid City people can go downtown out with lawn chairs, sip on a cold drink, and listen to music.

Summer nights is back.

There are activities for people of all ages ranging from balloon animals to alcoholic beverage stands. What most don’t know is that Summer Nights is put together with the help of airmen from Ellsworth.

The Maintenance squadron, Civic Engineer squadron, and Ammunitions all come together to set up and break down.

“Getting Ellsworth involved with community is, I know one of their priorities, and so many years ago they reached out to us – we were thrilled to have them part of summer nights and giving back to the community in a way that’s so impactful,” said Dave Goodwin; the President of Board of Director of Summer Nights.

Summer Nights continues until the end of August so you have plenty of time to get out with the family and or friend and enjoy the season.
