Active weather to start the week, will we see any more precipitation?

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Let’s check out what the weather will be like for the fourth week of October!

Temperature trends:

After the system that brought the first snow of the season to many areas moves out of the area, we’ll se temperatures climbing the rest of the week. High temperatures will mainly be in the 50’s for most of the week.

Will we get any precipitation?

After Monday, it look like we could have another chance for precipitation (rain) for the hills Tuesday through Thursday. For the surrounding plains, we could see some showers on Wednesday night. Though, the precipitation from this system will be spotty and not a considerable amount.

Will it be windy?

Yes. Monday and Tuesday will be very windy. Monday more so than Tuesday, we could see gusts of 50+ mph! Wind will die down throughout the week, but Wednesday and Thursday will still be a little breezy.

What should I wear?

Where something to keep you warm and protect yourself from the strong winds at the beginning of the week! After the wind dissipates, typical fall attire should be appropriate.

Weekend forecast:

This weekend is shaping up to be very nice! Highs in the 60’s with some sun and negligible wind makes it the perfect weekend to get out and enjoy some nice fall weather. Enjoy it while you still can!
