Acting Defense Secretary Shanahan withdraws nomination, Army Secretary Esper is new acting secretary

WASHINGTON D.C. – Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan withdraws his nomination, Army Secretary Mark Esper will be new acting secretary.

Shanahan was serving as the acting Secretary of Defense after President Donald Trump him after the resignation of General James Mattis.
