The event raised money through a silent auction, food, drinks and a bake sale. The funds will go towards providing medical help for the cats, which is the number one reason that cats are surrendered.

“Our mission is to help the cats and kittens in the area, in the Black Hills area, to do TNR, which is trap, neuter and release, to lessen the amount of cats and kittens that are being born into the community that suffer,” said Jennifer Cramer, vice president of A Place for Meow.

The organization also hosts multiple adoption events throughout the year. For more information on A Place for Meow, or if you are interested in donating, you can visit their website.
