UPDATE: The moose is still loose in Rapid City
UPDATE 10/26/22: The moose was spotted at The Plantsmyth, a plant nursery located in the 2600 block along Highway 44 in Rapid City
Plantsmyth provided this video of the moose:
Plantsmyth also included a statement for those hoping to see the moose: “We were just as excited as everyone else that our moose friend stopped by! However — the higher traffic of people trying to catch a glimpse has the potential to spook it. You, or the moose, could get hurt! We are very near a highway and out of respect and love for our wildlife, please be aware that your visit might actually be harmful.”
UPDATE 10/19/22: Viewer Tanner Drury submitted this video of the moose to NewsCenter1:
Drury said it was taken on Wednesday around 1:30 p.m. in a field behind Super Tunnel Car Wash on E Highway 44.

Y’all, there is a moose on the loose in Rapid City right now. I gave Rapid City dispatch a call and they confirmed to me this photo is legitimate. Game, Fish and Parks told me they are aware of the animal and looking for it. https://t.co/Khz0SDCkOq
