6th annual ‘Poochaween’ costume contest

The 6th annual ‘Poochaween’ was held in Black Hawk at the Tails ‘N Training Pet Groomer. Dogs and their best friends encouraged to come and participate in a cake walk, an agility course, and or course a costume contest. Dogs dressed up as things ranging from a super-hero to Popeye and Olive Oil, with their pup dressed as spinach.

The folks at Tails ‘N Training and the Oglala Pet Project say there was a great turnout and the community really responds to fundraisers like this. A volunteer at Oglala Pet Project, Jana Morehouse said “It’s always a good turnout at these events, the dogs have a lot of fun. We got to see people like Clifford here is a one of our OPP graduates he was a foster dog that got adopted by Teresa and her family. And so it’s great for OPP to be able to have people come together and celebrate both Halloween and working towards something to better the community.”
