6th Annual Bishop’s Golf Classic

September 16, 2019
NewsCenter1 Staff,

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The golf course at Arrowhead Country Club was packed with a little under 100 people on Monday. They hosted the 6th Annual Bishop’s Golf Classic.

It was a fundraiser for the city’s Catholic School System, Catholic Social Services, and Western South Dakota Catholic Foundation.

The day started at 11 a.m. and concluded with dinner and awards at 6 p.m.

The money will go towards educating youth and providing financial assistance for students. Not only does it benefit the community, but it’s also a time for people to come together in fellowship.

“You learn a lot more about the people out here. It’s a lot different than what you might learn walking out of a church because you’re with them longer and you’re in a different setting,” said WSDCF executive director, Tim Henderson.

NewsCenter1 was a sponsor of the golf classic.
