27th Annual Festival of Trees under way in Spearfish

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  The Festival of Trees is now welcoming holiday visitors in Spearfish.

From Wednesday, Nov. 29 through Saturday, Dec. 1,   the Zonta Club of Spearfish is hosting the lighted event for the 27th year.

The Zonta Club has a campaign to end domestic violence called “Zonta Says NO.” They also donate clothing and supplies to families in need, provide grants to local nonprofits and so much more.

Admission to all four days of the Festival of Trees at the Spearfish Park Pavillion is open to the public free of charge. Visitors are asked to bring a can or a box food item that will be donated to the Spearfish Food Pantry.

There will also be an auction Friday, Nov. 30. Admission at the door is $25 for a wristband.  The social starts at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. – noon, Santa will be visiting.

Hours of Operation for the Festival of Trees:

Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. – noon
