261 new Wyoming COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths reported Thursday

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Thursday, the Wyoming Department of Health reported 25 deaths from the coronavirus.

Five deaths were reported in Sweetwater County, four each in Fremont, Natrona, and Park Counties, two in Campbell and Crook Counties, and one each in Hot Springs, Johnson, Uinta, and Weston Counties. The state’s death toll now stands at 489 since the pandemic began.

261 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 39,476.

1,328 cases are considered active in the state, a decrease of 25 from Wednesday.

An additional 261 people have recovered from the virus. The total number of recoveries is 37,659.

The following counties reported new cases:

  • Sheridan County – 20 cases
  • Weston County – four cases
  • Campbell County – two cases
  • Crook County – one case
