Annual tournament benefits area child healthcare

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Regional Health held its annual Play Yellow Children’s Miracle Network golf tournament at Hart Ranch Friday morning.

Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) benefits from 100 per cent of the tournament’s proceeds, but all of the funds raised at the tournament go directly to Regional Health Rapid City, which is part of the Network.

“This event last year raised around 25,000 dollars for our Children’s Miracle Network program,” said Shawn Powers, CMN Program Manager. “And we have a couple more teams this year, a few more sponsors, so we anticipate that number growing a little bit this year which is always our goal. We want to put on a successful event and have our participants have a lot of fun and raise some good funds for the kids.”

CMN uses the funds to improve the lives of as many children as possible through medical research, specialized equipment and children’s health awareness.

NewsCenter1 is proud to be a sponsor and participant of the Play Yellow Children’s Miracle Network golf tournament.
