2020 Rapid City Rush ‘Fan Fest’ taking place at the Civic Center this Halloween

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Rush looking to hold the 2nd Annual ‘Fan Fest’ this Saturday at the Civic Center.

‘Fan Fest’ is the official kickoff to the upcoming ECHL season. The event will feature live music and a blood drive held by Vitalant, as well as the official reveal of the new Rush jerseys.

‘Fan Fest’ also allows the Rush to show it’s appreciation to the people who buy the tickets.

“They are the perfect hockey fans because they are rabid,” said Mark Binetti, Director of Communications for the Rapid City Rush. “They are absolutely rabid, they are hostile if you play for the other team, but they will take you into their home if you wear our sweater. That’s the best part about that, and ‘Fan Fest’ is not even celebrating the start of the season, it’s celebrating them too. We named it after them, it’s ‘Fan Fest’ so I think for them it’s nice to kind of pump their tires a bit too, and thank them for all their support.”

‘Fan Fest’ is Saturday from 11-1 at the Civic Center. It’s sponsored by Axe It Out which will have it’s mobile axing unit.

All fans attending are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes.
