13 PHOTOS AND HIGHLIGHTS: Minot State rallies to beat SD Mines in women’s basketball

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  The South Dakota Mines women’s basketball team returned to action on Tuesday, still searching for their first win of the season.

The Hardrockers squared off against Minot State University for the first time since 2013.

South Dakota Mines jumped out a 29-17 lead at halftime.

But the Beavers outscored the Hardrockers by 16 points in the second half and Minot State defeated SD Mines, 62-58.

Naomi Hidalgo led the Hardrockers with 13 points followed by Sydnee Durtsche with 12 points.

Minot State was led by Kate Head who finished with 15 points.

 

South Dakota Mines falls o-5 on the season.

The Hardrockers will host Black Hills State on Monday, Nov. 28 in a men’s and women’s doubleheader.

The women’s game tips off at 5:30 p.m.
