11th Annual Bierbörse Festival draws beer enthusiasts this Saturday
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Main Street Square is winding down until November, with their last event in a series of three taking place this weekend. The Eleventh Annual Bierbörse Festival is an adult only (21+) event that runs from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on October 9 in Main Street Square.
There will be two sections in the event, one for general tasting and another for the Beer Stock Exchange, where the prices for beer will bounce between two and eight dollars depending on the demand for that beer.
Organizers have seen record turnout at other events in Rapid City this year, and are excited to bring more fun an smiles to residents this Saturday.
Domico Rodriguez, CEO of Main Street Square, talked about his excitement, explaining that, “There’s going to be the beer Olympics going on, the beer stock exchange, which is always a hit, as well as an opportunity for the local breweries and the regional breweries to showcase tier beers to the Rapid City community.”
Rodriguez is excited for people to enjoy an afternoon in the city.
“People come downtown and they have a preconceived notion as to what it is or what we do, and this is just an opportunity to showcase downtown. The restaurants will be busy, some of the lounges will be busy, and it’s just a great opportunity to get people downtown to see what we have to offer,” he says.
Tasting passes, which offer entry to taste over 60 beers, are $55 at the event. Beer Olympics will begin at 2 p.m., with five events, and there will be a designated driver booth with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages for individuals with a DD pass.
