103rd Annual Black Hills Roundup in full swing

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. –  Every year during the first week in july, there are over 30 rodeos taking place across the country worth over three millions dollars in prize money.

It’s known in the PRCA as Cowboy Christmas.

One of those rodeos on the list is the Black Hills Roundup in Belle Fourche.

The event has been named the PRCA Medium Outdoor Rodeo of the Year for the last four years straight.

This year, hundreds of contestants will be competing for nearly $170,000 in prize money.

The rodeo action continued on Saturday with the second of four performances.

The third performance will take place on Sunday, July 3 at 7 p.m.  It’s Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night.

The Black Hills Roundup wraps up on Monday, July 4 with the final PRCA rodeo performance at 3 p.m. at the Roundup Grounds.
