RAPID CITY, S.D. -

An officer was able to stop a man believed to be too drunk to drive.

Dillon Robinson, 25, of Rapid City, is accused of driving under the influence early Saturday. Bystanders in the downtown area alerted police around 2 a.m. They said Robinson drove into two parked cars in the 800 block of Main Street.

An officer found Robinson and attempted to speak with him, but Robinson closed the door and tried to drive away. The officer was too quick for that though, removing Robinson from the car.

Smelling alcohol, the officer began a DUI investigation and charged Robinson with driving under the influence (3rd offense).
