Regional Health expansion complete in Sturgis

Posted: Updated:

Sturgis got a boost to its healthcare services as the new expansion to the Regional Health Medical Clinic officially opened its doors at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.

The facility expansion cost $10.3 million to build and will feature 36 new patient rooms and 3 procedure rooms.

The hospital will also host two new physicians as well as visiting specialists.

Regional Health officials were grateful to everyone who worked together to help make the expanded facility a reality.

“We want to thank everyone in the community,” said Mark Schulte, president of Regional Health Sturgis Market. “It was a team effort to get to this day. I’m just part of a great team. We have great physicians that just spoke before me, and without them, none of this would be possible.”

The new facility also features the latest in accessibility features.
