The Black Hills Sports Show and Outdoor Expo will showcase over 100 dealers and vendors, offering education and entertainment to the whole family.

The expo will take place Feb. 9-11 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The hours will be: Friday noon-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will be plenty of activities for kids, like a climbing wall, shooting ranges, a Strider bike course and the SD CHIP program. SD CHIP is a child identification program that gives parents DNA and other information they need if their child becomes lost.

South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures will hold a live and silent auction Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Cowboy Bar, located on the second floor of the Civic Center. This event is open to the public, and all money raised will benefit the South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures. The organization’s mission is to provide opportunities for youth to forge a relationship with the outdoors and learn real-life skills.

Other local charities that benefit from the event are: Shriner’s Hospitals, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Black Hills, the Cosmopolitan Club, among others.
