Promotions Editor

Rapid Broadcasting is seeking a talented Video Editor / Videographer / Motion Graphics Artist to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches client expectations. The right candidate will bring creative ideas together to ultimately bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story. This position will assist in shooting, editing and putting the finishing touches on various TV and web media commercials. Position reports to the Promotions Manager. 


Qualifications: 

Be proficient in Adobe Premiere CC & After Effects CC 

Be proficient in Adobe Suite and Photoshop 

Be proficient in Mac Based & PC Based Workstations/Software

Video/photography shooting basics, exposure, spot principles

Have experience shooting footage with DSLR or other HD cameras 

Know the ins-and-outs of transcoding video to various formats 

Be comfortable using web-based applications for upload and distribution. 

Have basic knowledge of DVD authoring  

Be deadline oriented with an eye for detail 

Having basic stage and lighting experience is beneficial 

HTML 5 animation experience another plus, but not mandatory 

Good social skills

Ability to handle constructive criticism and adjust accordingly  

Works well in a team environment

Responsibilities: 
•    Communicate effectively with clients to understand their marketing needs
•    Develop scripts and creative ideas based on conversations with clients
•    Set up and operate necessary video/lighting equipment to film commercials
•    Ability to identify and capture creative shots while filming 
•    Manipulate and edit footage to better tell clients' stories
•    Add music, dialogues, graphics and effects that lend to the storytelling
•    Proof final product sales team within department deadlines
•    Assist with additional team graphic needs
•    Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
