Former Central High School Standout shines at Rodeo Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. -

Rodeo Rapid City continued on Thursday night with the second PRCA rodeo performance.

Former Rapid City Central standout Shane O'Connell scored 80.5 point in the Bareback Riding to move into the top five overall.

O'Connell is currently ranked third in the world standings.

Meanwhile, Chance Ames from Big Piney, Wyoming had the top Bareback score on Thursday night with 81 points.

Kirk Robinson from Innisfail, Alberta posted the fastest time in the Tie-Down Roping with 10.2 seconds.

The rodeo action continues on Friday night with PRCA Rodeo at 7:30 p.m. featuring freestyle bull fight and mounted shooting.
