RAPID CITY, S.D. -

Hours before Tuesday's sunrise, a pursuit ended with a Fort Pierre man arrested on a drug charge.

Cory Glatt, 29, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of methamphetamine.

Police say Glatt was driving a pickup with no headlights through the parking lot of the Best Western Ramkota Hotel. Glatt drove through grass on the property and turned onto Disk Drive, at first in the wrong lane.

Glatt ignored police attempts to stop him. Police say he drove past the eastern dead end of Disk Drive and crashed into an electrical pole before trying to back out.

Initial charges included: driving under revocation, eluding, leaving the scene of an accident, and no proof of insurance.

But following a DUI investigation, Glatt's urine tested positive for methamphetamine. Police say he had no signs of alcohol consumption.

Glatt was additionally charged with DUI (4th), and ingestion of a controlled substance.
