Top-ranked Cavaliers dominate Spartans in girls basketball

The St. Thomas More girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season back on January 12, as West Central knocked off the Cavaliers 46-44 in overtime. In fact, it snapped St. Thomas More's 48-game winning streak.

Since that game, St. Thomas More has won two in a row and the Cavaliers were hoping to make it three straight as they hosted Spearfish on Monday night.

Jayden Bies scored 19 points as the Cavaliers powered past the Spartans, 67-36.

Aislinn Duffy finished with 17 points for STM and Klaire Kirsch added 15.

The top-ranked Cavaliers improve to 12-1 on the season, while Spearfish falls to 4-7.
