Cavalier Christmas Basketball Classic Day 1 Recap

RAPID CITY, S.D. -

The annual Cavalier Christmas Classic tipped off Thursday at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.

This year's field is loaded with several quality teams.

In fact, three of the four girls teams competing are undefeated including the Belle Fourche Broncs.

The Lady Broncs put their perfect record on the line on Thursday afternoon against the 4-0 Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers.

Mandee Williamson scored 16 points to lead the Broncs over the Cavaliers, 62-54.

The St. Thomas More girls basketball team remains perfect on the season, as well.

The Cavaliers rolled over Madison, 53-24.

Aislinn Duffy led the Cavaliers with 17 points and Jayden Bies added 11.

Meanwhile, it was a tough day for the St. Thomas More and Belle Fourche boys basketball teams at the Cavalier Christmas Classic.

The Broncs lost to Aberdeen Roncalli, 64-27, while second ranked Madison dominated the Cavaliers, 61-39.

The basketball classic continues on Friday.
