Day 2: Lakota Nation Invitational Quarterfinals

The White River boys basketball team has experienced its fair share of success at the Lakota Nation Invitational Basketball Tournament.

Since 2007, the Tigers have made eight appearances in the LNI finals, winning five championships.

White River was hoping to move one step closer to reaching the finals again as the Tigers squared off against Lower Brule on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

Lower Brule led 21-19 at the break. But White River outscored Lower Brule, 50-36 and the Tigers defeated the Sioux in overtime, 69-57.

Jadice Morrison led the Tigers with 22 points.
