RAPID CITY, S.D. -

The Rapid City Rush not only dropped two games against the Allen Americans over the weekend, but the Rush also lost one of their defenseman for the next three games.

Michael Sdao has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions during Rapid City's game against Allen on December 2.

Sdao was assessed a match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an Allen player during the second period. He will miss Rapid City's games against Colorado on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Rapid City and Colorado have already played four times this season. After falling to the Eagles during the first meeting on Oct. 27, the Rush have won three in a row against the defending Kelly Cup champions.

However, the Colorado Eagles have won six out of their last 10 games and now trail Wichita for first place in the Mountain Division by just three points.

On the other hand, the Rush are 4-6 in their last 10 games and are currently sitting in last place in the division with 14 points.

The Rush will host the Eagles on Wednesday night before traveling to Colorado to play the Eagles on Friday and Saturday.

The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday night at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
