Rush prepare to host the Tulsa Oilers

RAPID CITY, S.D. -

Many questions can spring up for a hockey team during the course of a 72-game season. For the Rapid City Rush this year, the question has often been: what next?

The season has, so far, been one of numerous ups and downs for the Rush.

After opening the season with five straight losses, Rapid City won four in a row. But then the Rush recently hit another rough patch, dropping three at home against Idaho.

The Rush look to turn things around this week as they host the Tulsa Oilers for a three-game series starting on Wednesday night.

The Oilers are also hungry for a win after losing their last five.

Rush head coach Daniel Tetrault says this is an important series coming up against Tulsa.

"We got to come out of the gates hard and firing on all cylinders," Rush head coach Daniel Tetrault said. "Get the pucks on net. Play physical. Just play our game and not worry about Tulsa's game. We have to worry about ourselves. But its going to take a lot of determination. I told the guys we're in last place right now in our division. We're at five and nine. We haven't played like a five and nine team. But that's where we are. So we have to get back to close to .500. But it starts on Wednesday against Tulsa."

The Guns and Hoses Tug of War Challenge, featuring the police and fire departments, will take place this week at all three games.

Plus, the annual Teddy Bear Toss will be held on Saturday, November 25.
