RAPID CITY, S.D. -

The Rapid City Rush continued their three-game series on Friday night against the Brampton Beast.

Rapid City came up short during their first game against Brampton on Wednesday night.

The Rush battled back from two-goals down to tie the game up with 2 minutes remaining in regulation. However, the Beast scored with 19 seconds left to win 5-4.

After another great effort by both teams on Friday, the Rush earn a hard fought win over Brampton, 3-2 in a shootout.

The Rush scored two power play goals in the first period thanks to Gustav Bouramman and Kenton Miller.

But then late in the first period, Brandon Marino ripped a one-time past Steven Michalek to cut the Rapid City lead in half.

After both teams skated to a scoreless draw in the second period, Brampton's Corey Durocher scored his second goal of the season to tie it up at two apiece.

The game eventually went into a shootout and Matt Caito finally scored in the eighth round to give Rapid City the victory.

Steve Michalek stopped all but two of 30 shots in regulation and overtime, and all eight shooters in the shootout.

The Rush and Beast will square off in a rubber match on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
