    Third annual Kenadi's Karnival & Silent Auction

    This Saturday, June 23, the Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation presents the 3rd annual Kenadi’s Karnival & Silent Auction Fundraiser. The carnival was created in honor of Kenadi who passed away unexpectedly at age five. Due to an anoxic brain injury at birth, Kenadi was non-verbal and confined to a wheelchair. The funds will go toward an inclusive playground where kids of all physical abilities and conditions can have fun.

    City parks officials advise that the bike path in Rapid City is open for business again. All barricades have been removed, including the bridge under crossing areas at Mount Rushmore Road and Canyon Lake Drive. They warn there is some water in these areas but have determined it is not restrictive for travel purposes.

RAPID CITY, S.D. -

It was championship Saturday in Rapid City.

Not only did the State Cheer and Dance Championships wrap up at Rapid City Stevens High School, but the State Cross Country Championships were held on Saturday afternoon at the Hart Ranch Camping Resort.

Around 700 runners from across the state braved the chilly and windy conditions.
