Rapid Valley fire investigated as arson

RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Rapid City Police Department is investigating an arson in Rapid Valley.

Firefighters arrived at 3024 South Valley Drive just after midnight Thursday. Because of witness accounts and evidence gathered at the scene, investigators believe the home was deliberately set on fire.

Authorities are actively investigating the matter, keeping most details under wraps. The detective on the case is Steve Neavil. Anyone with information on the fire should call Neavil at 605-394-4131. Anonymous texts can be sent by texting ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.
