Spearfish bank robbed with note; police arrest Belle Fourche woman

The latest on a woman charged with robbing the Pioneer Bank and Trust in Spearfish, S.D. COURT DETAILS

Kaycee Teppo stole $1,500 but turned herself in to authorities about 4 1/2 hours after the robbery.


Spearfish Police arrested Kaycee Jade Teppo, 22, of Belle Fourche. 

Teppo is charged with first-degree robbery and grand theft.

Lt. Boyd Dean said Teppo acted alone. Police have recovered a portion of the stolen cash, and the exact amount taken is yet to be determined.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and FBI assisted in the investigation.


Spearfish Police are searching for a woman they say robbed a bank.

Around 10 a.m. Thursday, a woman entered Pioneer Bank and Trust and presented a "demand note" to a teller. The woman took cash and left the building. 

The suspect was captured on surveillance video, and it appears no weapons were used during the robbery.

Police believe the woman may have left in a red Volkswagen Sedan.
