Ritchie Nordstrom announces re-election bid for Rapid City Common Council

RAPID CITY, S.D. - The deadline for filing a petition to run for a municipal office in Pennington County is fast approaching. Paperwork must be submitted by 5 p.m. on March 28.

Rapid City Ward 2 Councilman Ritchie Nordstrom announced on Monday that he will seek re-election this year.

Nordstrom says city infrastructure remains his top priority.

“Potholes were my first priority, and I continue to advocate for our long-range plan to pave roads, rebuild infrastructure and improve sidewalks across the city.”

The candidate also says quality of life issues - including affordable housing, public safety, and responsible use of Vision Funds - will be priorities if he's re-elected.

The municipal and school elections are scheduled for June 6. Candidates began circulating petitions and gathering signatures March 1.
