Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that South Dakota will continue its support of state governments’ joint authority over immigration enforcement in Arizona’s ninth circuit appellate case.
Arizona says each state should be able to enforce its own laws concerning the immigration problem and that it shouldn't just be a federal issue.
Jackley says the state of Michigan has taken the lead role in supporting Arizona and it is anticipated South Dakota will not bear any costs associated with its supportive and advisory role.
