When was the last time you drove down Jackson Boulevard near Mountain View in Rapid City?
Chances are you may have noticed it's congested, and sometimes at that intersection it's tough to make a turn.
Those are just a few reasons why the Department of Transportation is looking at reconstructing Jackson Boulevard from Rapid Creek to Mountain View.
Tuesday night dot employees talked with a group of people about two options for reconstructing that intersection at Mountain View and Jackson Boulevard.
One option would cut down on parking in front of some businesses, while the second would cut down on the amount of traffic in front of other businesses.
South Dakota DOT Tom Horan says, "Originally we were looking at nine different options, we've now widdled that down to two, and those two we are considering pretty seriously."
Mitch LaFleur of Rapid City says, "I think ultimately the question or the question has to be answered what makes more sense for accommodating the flow of traffic along Jackson Boulevard and downtown."
