Signing up for a library card can open the door to a world of knowledge and in September, there's even more incentive to sign up at the Rapid City Public Library.
Wednesday is the start of National Library Card Sign Up month, and representatives at the Rapid City Public Library say now is a great time to sign up or renew your library card.
When most people think of the library, they just think of books, but the library now offers many more resources.
Some of which you can access without even stepping foot into the library.
Rapid City Public Library Director Greta Chapman says, "Whether that's using our drive-up services, especially in inclement weather, so know that’s another resource, and the other component is most of our services are offered online as well."
Starting tomorrow, if you sign up for a new library card or renew your old one at the Rapid City Public Library you will have a chance to win an apple I-Book, a bike, tickets to local events, and more.
And even if you don't win the drawing just flash your library card at any business where you see a "Read" poster for discounts.
