If you have ever wondered what your lungs look like if you smoke or what a part of your body looks like if it's diagnosed with cancer, Saturday is your chance as new exhibit opens at the Rushmore Mall in Rapid City.

The exhibit is of real human bodies that have been preserved and show different parts of the human anatomy.

Each body is positioned differently to show people what muscles you are using when you are positioned in different ways.

The exhibit also has 100 specimens ranging from what cancer looks like to healthy lungs versus smokers lungs, worn joints, broken bones, nerves, and arteries.

Organizers of the exhibit say it's important to see what’s inside of you, instead of learning through pictures in a textbook.

"They can show you pictures of what smoker’s lungs look like, but it makes much more of an impression if we can actually look at it and see what an unhealthy pair of lungs looks like versus a healthy pair of lungs, and it's all possible at the exhibit," says Tom Mulholland of Lynx Exhibits.

Organizers say the exhibit really inspires people to lead healthy lives and to stay active.

If you'd like to view the exhibit, it's in the former Old Navy store at the Rushmore Mall and it opens on Saturday.
