This fall more than 600 World War II veterans are hoping to take part in an "Honor Flight" to Washington, D.C. to visit the new World War II national memorial, as well as Arlington National Cemetery.
Wednesday, students at Black Hills Beauty College are cutting hair to help fund that special trip.
All of the money collected during Black Hills Beauty's "Cut-A-Thon" will be donated to help pay for the flight.
Those involved say it's a stylist's job to make other people feel good, but supporting Honor Flight actually makes them feel good.
“I come from a background of veterans, so it's something that's near and dear to my heart,” says Educational Director, Holly Keszler.
The students have already raised $800 by paying to wear jeans to school; they hope to double that during the Cut-A-Thon.
