Rapid City Mayor Allen Hanks has appointed 10 members to the newly created Downtown Improvement Board.

The board will oversee the establishment, construction and maintenance of the district as well as establish programs.

Members include Terrly Nelson a certified financial planner, Frank Morrison of Thirstys, Diane Alberts from Furniture Mart, Mary Pembroke of Assurant, Robert Fuchs with Firehouse Brewery, Clancy Kingsbury from Who's Hobby House, Peter Schmid of Schmid Insurance, Gene Williams with Rapid City Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Mike Brummer from Armadillo's, and Sandra Schwan from Great Western Bank.

The City Council must still confirm the members.
