Authorities have released the name of the woman killed in a plane crash over the weekend. Police lt. Boyd Dean says 55-year-old Shirley Van Zee of Townsend, Montana, was a passenger in a single-engine plane that crashed at the Spearfish Airport about 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
The plane was piloted by her husband, Glen Van Zee, who survived the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. Federal officials say it likely will be months before the cause of the crash is determined and released.
